Meet Our Board Members
Mike DeCola – Chairperson
Mike is the retired CEO of HBM Holdings. He currently serves as Board Chair for Enterprise Financial Services Corp (NASDAQ:EFSC) and on the advisory board for Independent Stave Company. He serves as an advisor to several other privately held companies.
Mike is active in philanthropy. He serves on the Board and Executive Committee for the United Way of St. Louis and the St. Louis Sports Commission. He has been active with the Ronald McDonald House of St. Louis, having served as Board Chair and Campaign Chair for two successful capital campaigns. He is Trustee Emeritus of the Darden School Foundation and serves on the Grant Review Committee for the Collier County Community Foundation. He continues to be one of the top fundraisers for Pedal the Cause, which raises money for cancer research at the Siteman Center.
Mike is a close friend of Rick and Kathryn Merluzzi.
Alex Merluzzi – Vice Chairperson
Alex Merluzzi is a project manager with project development services group of Jones, Lang, LaSalle (JLL), a global real estate company.
He earned both a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Lehigh University.
Alex resides in Boston, MA, with his wife, Lauren. He is the son of FFAPC founder, Rick Merluzzi, brother of Andrew Merluzzi, and nephew of Gary Fedorcha.
Patrick Jones – Treasurer
Patrick is a CPA (inactive) who retired in 2018.
Starting out in Public Accounting, he has served as the CFO of an international steel distribution firm for the last 20 plus years. He graduated from Villanova University and Temple Law School.
Patrick lives in Paoli, PA with his wife Joan, and has two grown children and grandchildren.
Gary Fedorcha – Secretary
Gary is as retired Teacher and Vocational School Administrator at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute. He is currently active in Rotary and was a Past District Governor.
He also serves as a Vice President for both the Lehigh Valley Educators Credit Union and Northern Lehigh School Board. Gary is a 15 year survivor of prostate cancer and a founding member of Friends and Family Against Prostate Cancer.
He lives in Slatington PA with his wife Lynne and has three grown children Kyle, Kody and Kori and has seven grandchildren.
Irene Gage – MD
Irene is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Tufts and Harvard hospitals and was for many years a faculty member at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
During her career, she has published many peer reviewed articles, established multidisciplinary oncology programming at Sibley Hospital in DC and provided direct patient care.
Irene is a family member of FFAPC’s founder, Rick Merluzzi.
Terry Funk
Terry is a retired high school principal at Titusville High School. Over his 45 year career he also served as a teacher, coach and elementary school principal all in the Titusville School District.
He is a graduate of Penn State University where he was a member of the of the swimming team. He also has a Masters from West Chester Univeristy in Health Education. Terry is a prostate cancer battler and a founding member of Friends and Family Against Prostate Cancer.
Terry lives in Titusville PA with his wife Nancy and has three grown children Jim, David and Kate and five grand children.
Steve Danhert
Steve is a Chartered Financial Analyst who retired 2021. Over his career Steve served in various finance and investment roles with Mobil Corporation, Citibank, Ecolab and North Star Investment.
He is a graduate of University of Minnesota with an MBA from St Thomas University. Steve is a founding member of Friends and Family Against Prostate Cancer.
He resides in the Phoenix area with his wife Sharon and has two grown children Scott and Brooke.
Bill Bogle
Bill Bogle has 52 years experience in the pharmaceutical packaging equipment industry, the most recent as CEO of his own company, Genesis Packaging.
Bill is currently chairman of PA Global Business Advisors, a nonprofit economic development organization and also a consultant in the Pharma industry. Bill is a long-time battler of prostate cancer and is a founding member of Friends and Family Against Prostate Cancer.
Bill lives in Paoli PA with his wife Barbara and has three grown children, Bret, Brad and Rebecca and has 2 grandchildren.
Dr. Clint Cary
Dr. Clint Cary is the Chair of the Department of Urology and an Associate Professor of Urology at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Cary is originally from Tennessee and received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He completed his training in urologic surgery at Indiana University and then completed a 2-year urologic oncology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. While in his fellowship, he also completed a Master of Public Heath (MPH) degree with a focus on epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley.
As a result of his training, Dr. Cary has expertise in all types of malignancies of the genitourinary tract. A highly respected physician-scientist in the field of urologic oncology, with a particular interest in the surgical management of advanced testicular cancer and bladder cancer, Dr. Cary’s research efforts focus on health services and outcomes research in testis and bladder cancer. He is recognized as a global thought leader for men diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Leading or participating in 106 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters across urologic oncology topics, Dr. Cary has been widely recognized for his research efforts. He served as the site principal investigator on a multi-institutional Phase II trial across 12 sites in the U.S. and Canada exploring the treatment option of RPLND for patients with clinical state II seminoma. Under Cary’s leadership, IU Urology was the highest enrolling site. This study led to the new treatment option of surgery for these patients. Dr. Cary’s research has received grant funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH) to study patterns of care and decisions around intravesical chemotherapy use at the time of surgery for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. This work has led to a better understanding of how well-designed interventions can potentially reduce cancer recurrences for patients. Early in his faculty career, he launched the MRI fusion guided biopsy program at Indiana University to more accurately detect prostate cancer during transrectal ultrasound biopsy.
Dr. Cary is involved in the Society of Urology Oncology, the North Central Section of the American Urological Association, the American Urological Association. He has demonstrated retroperitoneal lymph node dissection surgical techniques within Europe and served as an invited lecturer and visiting professor internationally on the topic of advanced testicular cancer.
Marguerite Ollice
Rita has a BS degree in Medical Record Administration. She retired after 35 years working in Healthcare.
Her beloved husband Dan passed away in 2020 of Advanced Prostate Cancer. Dan, Rita and their 3 grown children walked the cancer journey committed to caring for the needs of both Dan and the family.
The family continues to advocate the importance of a supportive presence for both the one fighting cancer, as well as, their loved ones.
Kyle Fedorcha
He has been employed by iwis drive systems, LLC since August 2015 and his current role with the company is Chief Operating Officer.
Kyle has a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State and an MBA the University of Memphis. Kyle currently resides in Carmel, Indiana with his wife, Marci, and their three sons, Kyle, Derek and Aaron.
Kyle is the son of Gary Fedorcha and nephew of Rick Merluzzi
Kody Fedorcha
Currently the CEO at iwis drives systems, LLC. Kody has a business degree Lehigh University where he was a member of the football team.
He also has an MBA from Penn State. Kody currently resides in Carmel, Indiana with his wife Jenna and their daughters Sophie and Elise.
Kody is the son of Gary Fedorcha and nephew of Rick Merluzzi.
Jim Funk
Jim is a high school Health and Wellness teacher in Girard, Pennsylvania, and also has a Health and Wellness consulting company.
He is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology. Jim also has a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University.
Jim is the son of Terry Funk. He lives in Fairview, Pennsylvania with his wife, Alison, and two kids, Brooke and Jay.
Jim Rhodes
Jim Rhodes spent more than 45 years in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industries focusing on packaging and manufacturing both domestically and Internationally in Sales , Marketing and Project Management before retiring in 2015. He is a graduate of Roanoke College with a BA and post studies at Saint Joseph University in their MBA Program
First diagnosed in 2012 with Prostate Cancer. After multiple biopsies during the course of two years, the cancer was not detectable. In 2024 an MRI and prostate biopsy determined the presence of prostate cancerand he began hormone and radiation treatments in the Spring of 2025. Upon completion of the radiation treatments he hasnbeen able to return to an active life playing golf and exercising and will continue to be monitored by his medical team.
Jim lives in Collegeville Pa with his Life Partner Rosemarie Cunningham and between them they have four children and five grandchildren.
Andrew Merluzzi
Andrew is a data analyst with Morton Buildings, specializing in Power BI Reporting. An avid tennis player, he spends his off hours on the tennis courts teaching his students.
He received a BS degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University, with a minor in French language.
Andrew currently lives in Peoria, Illinois with his wife, Radhika Deshpande. Andrew is the son of FFAPC founder Rick Merluzzi, the brother of Alex Merluzzi, and nephew of Gary Fedorcha. He joined the FFAPC board in 2025.
